  • 1 can (6 oz) Black Olives Sliced
  • 0.5 lb Pepperoni Sliced
  • 1 cup Mushrooms Sliced
  • 0.5 cup Onion Finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup Fresh Basil Chopped
  • 0.25 cup Pizza Dough Flour For dusting
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil For brushing

Equipment

  • Pizza pan or baking sheet
  • Pizza cutter or kitchen scissors
  • Rolling Pin
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp Knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Pastry brush

Method

Step 1: Preparing the Ingredients
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness (around 0.25 inch).
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 0.5-inch border for the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Step 2: Creating the Spider's Body
  1. Arrange the sliced black olives in a circular pattern on the pizza to create the spider's body.
  2. Place a small amount of cheese in the center of the olives to act as the spider's head.
Step 3: Adding the Spider's Legs
  1. Cut the pepperoni slices into thin strips to create the spider's legs.
  2. Arrange the pepperoni strips around the spider's body, using 8 strips for each leg.
Step 4: Adding the Final Touches
  1. Bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Top with chopped fresh basil and sliced mushrooms to create the spider's eyes and web.

Notes

Tips for Success: - Dough Thickness: Roll the dough to your desired thickness. Thinner dough will result in a crispier crust. - Cheese Amount: Use enough cheese to cover the sauce but not so much that it becomes overwhelming. - Baking Time: Keep an eye on the pizza to prevent burning. The baking time may vary depending on your oven and the thickness of the dough.
