  • 1 packet taco seasoning store-bought or homemade
Shells & Toppings
  • 6 large taco shells corn or flour, depending on preference
  • 2 cups shredded cheese Mexican blend or cheddar
  • 1 head lettuce iceberg or romaine
  • 1 can diced tomatoes drained
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup sour cream optional
  • 1 cup guacamole optional
  • Toppings of choice sliced jalapeños, diced onions, salsa, etc.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Dice the lettuce, tomatoes, and any other toppings you're using. Shred the cheese and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning and follow the packet's instructions for adding water and simmering.
  3. Heat the taco shells according to package instructions.
  4. Place a generous amount of beef onto each taco shell. Top with shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and any other desired toppings.
  5. Add sour cream and guacamole if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

Don't be afraid to pile on the toppings! The more, the merrier with Monster Tacos. Also, make sure to have plenty of napkins on hand – these tacos can get messy!
