Ingredients

Meat Mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 0.25 cup water
Taco Shells
  • 12 taco shells
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 15 Oreos crushed
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 12 black olives for 'tombstones'

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Baking Sheet
  • Muffin tin
  • Rolling Pin
  • Sharp Knife
  • Small, sharp knife

Method

Step 1: Preparing the Ingredients
  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks.
  2. Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and 0.25 cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. While the meat is cooking, crush the Oreos and slice the green onions.
Step 2: Assembling the Dishes
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the taco shells in a muffin tin, pressing them gently into the cups to form the 'graves'.
Step 3: Filling the Tacos
  1. Spoon the meat mixture evenly into the taco shells, filling them about 0.75 full.
  2. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the meat, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
Step 4: Baking and Final Touches
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the taco cups are lightly golden.
  2. Remove from the oven and let them cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes.
  3. Carefully remove the taco cups from the muffin tin and place them on a serving platter.
  4. Top each cup with a dollop of sour cream, then sprinkle with crushed Oreos to resemble dirt.
  5. Add a few slices of green onion for 'grass', and place an olive 'tombstone' on top of each cup.

Notes

To prevent the taco cups from sticking, lightly grease the muffin tin or use cupcake liners. For easier assembly, prepare all the toppings before starting to fill the taco shells.
