Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 jar large dill pickle chips
  • 2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 4 oz softened cream cheese
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Pizza Cutter or Sharp Knife
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Measuring Spoons and Cups

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lining your baking sheet with parchment paper is crucial to prevent the pickles and melted cheese from sticking, making cleanup much easier.
  2. Arrange the pickle slices on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Overlapping them slightly helps to create a more cohesive base that can hold the toppings. Think of it like tiling – you want good coverage.
  3. In a bowl, thoroughly combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. This mixture provides a creamy, savory foundation for the rest of the toppings.
  4. Spread the seasoned cream cheese mixture evenly over the arranged pickle slices. Be careful not to use too much, as you still want the pickle flavor to come through. Next, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the cream cheese layer. Finally, arrange the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
  5. Carefully transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. Keep an eye on it – you want the cheese to be melted, bubbly, and slightly golden brown, and the pepperoni to be slightly crispy.
  6. Once out of the oven, let the pickle pizzas cool slightly on the baking sheet before attempting to slice and serve. This allows the cheese to set a bit and prevents the toppings from sliding off.

Notes

It's best to assemble and bake the pizza just before serving to maintain optimal crispness. However, you can prep the ingredients in advance. Avoid microwaving leftovers, as it can make the pickles soggy.
